Mechanical and Durability Characteristics Assessment of Geopolymer Composite (GPC) at Varying Silica Fume Content

The present study aimed at assessing mechanical and durability characteristics of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS)-based geopolymer composites 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% replacement proportion silica fume 12 molarity NaOH. Mechanical properties were assessed using compression tension tests, whereas evaluated ultrasonic pulse velocity test (UPV), acid test, rapid chloride permeability (RCPT), water absorption (WA) test. Additionally, reduction in mass strength also determined due to the action on developed composites. A correlation compressive was established with splitting tensile strength, UPV, RCPT, WA. presence high NaOH concentration GPC tends improve up toa certain level. UPV values obtained falling range medium good category. Chloride ion penetration reduced by around 23% 26%, respectively, 10% replacement. Mass loss as % increased. RCPT a coefficient determination 0.9681, 0.9665, 0.9208, respectively. Poor between absorption.
